Honest presence, with all my heart and being.

I am following a 30-day dynamic for the month of October with The Yogi Witch. Through yoga exercises, journaling, and other rituals, I seek to reconnect with the elements and my most mystical self in body, mind, and spirit, taking advantage that Samhain is coming. The witches' new year.
Something I've learned from other cultures is that it's always a new year somewhere. There's always an opportunity to start over. And this is one of those new years.
We've finished working with the element of Earth. Well, "finished" in quotation marks, because this labour is constant. It never starts and never ends. It just goes on. For this, each person works with an intention for the sessions and for life. A sankalpa. as they call it. You may already have it in mind, it may come to you right there as you breathe before you begin, or it may suddenly hit you while you're in downward-facing dog, or after the session while you're making your cup of coffee or going to the supermarket, or whatever. There's no rush for that either. There's no rush for that either.
This is what came to me. Raw. Unedited, as I wrote it on my notebook:
Presence and patience
Being there for myself, for my loved ones, for my direct and indirect surroundings. Without FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) but Joy of Being Around: JOBA
JOBA: Joy of Being Around.
Honest presence, with all my heart and being, in everything I do and with everyone I spend time with, whom I choose to spend time with and get close to. Just as I want to be paid attention and appreciation, I pay attention and appreciation to those who inspire me, and I pay attention and appreciation to the attention and appreciation I already receive.
Today I honour what silently calls my attention: nature, the trees outside the window, the wind, the gradual cleaning of the house, the friends that interact, love, the being in all beings. Without expecting "immediate results" according to Western parameters of fame, engagement, and fortune. Abundance is already here, and it is not measured in likes, but in love.
So mote it be, and so it is, it always has been and always will be.
I'm joyful that you're around.
